Food for the Lebanese Soul

By Susan Sabra

For a few days now, I have been preparing myself for today, the one-year memory of August 4th explosion in Beirut port. I consider myself a citizen of the planet, so all humanity concerns me, and this outrageous massacre has its spiritual significance in the ongoing invisible spiritual warfare that many do not know about. But as a Lebanese-born this memory left me with a deep wound that I cannot forget as it is engraved in my soul, but I could definitely forgive and here is why.

The massacre was committed by the “government of the Lebanese people”. I find it very difficult to use that phrase as I cannot seem to digest still how few dark and devilish persons can control the destiny of the people known to be fun and life loving. But I realized something very important that I am sharing with you here as it makes total sense to me.

Amidst the numerous sad and angry posts on social media today, I look only for the positive ones in a sense that it uplifts the spirit and focuses on unity, solidarity, compassion, and forgiveness.

Forgiveness is the key word for today.

I read some comments on a celebrity’s post on Instagram where one follower was telling him about forgiveness and he somehow dismissed the conversation because he does not want to forgive as she was recommending it according to Jesus’ teachings. Understanding the inability for forgiveness goes deeper and beyond the memory of August 4th, 2020. I could totally read the celebrity’s soul. It is hurting so much that it cannot forgive. That is the story of the Lebanese people; souls alive or passed on. The history of Lebanon is full of darkness, deep wounds, and ugly memories that make the soul overloaded with low vibrations accumulated over the years despite all the fun and life loving parties and celebrations we continue to carry on. Our souls are dragged further down to the lowest and darkest of 3D frequencies because of all the repeated sufferings without often releasing or cleansing our souls.

We are so good at "sweeping under the rug". Our problem is not addressing issues clearly and openly at the root. We ignore and continue to have fun as if nothing happened. I am not insinuating to stop enjoying life, but some work needs to be done before we move on from every presented problem/bad event.

Soul cleansing is not a simple task or process as it starts with each individual within themselves first. So how can you forgive? And why would you forgive such criminals for all the wrongdoings they have been afflicting on the people and the country for decades. Families are still tormented by the loss of their loved ones and their homes throughout the years and now moreover the current “living” situation that is demeaning. It is heartbreaking to see a country like Lebanon known to be a source of light for the planet for its spiritual importance, going through so much. This is the whole point.

Forgive, forgive, forgive but never forget.

Forgiveness does not serve the criminals, but it serves its owner. Start with forgiving yourself first and releasing the feeling of guilt you are holding on too tightly deep down. When you forgive you release the karma of the event to the universe to handle. The universe will take care of the injustice that took place. Can you see the cycle the Lebanese people have been going through over and over again? We are stuck in a never-ending loop of misery that is becoming worse by the day now. Every time we think we hit rock bottom; we harbor more lower vibrations that take us further deeper into the “inferno”. Then we get shocked that there is worse than the rock bottom we thought we were at every time, but we never questioned ourselves about the common factor in all these miserable repetitive cycles. We don’t realize it is us and our low vibrations that attract more misery. I do not intend any blame here but merely a soulful perspective that I hope can instantiate change even if it starts with one reader. Examples of low vibrations are living too much in a materialistic world that keeps the soul closer to the lowest vibrations as it holds denser and worldly attachments, harboring negative emotions like hatred, jealousy, blame, and ill-intentions, maintaining negative behaviors such as discrimination, playing victim, abuse, manipulation, and corruption…. just to name a few.

Self-reflection and self-observance are a treasure that each one of us holds within reach to make a huge change. That is how it starts. Many might see it as definitely not the appropriate time to discuss such issues, but they are the core of the problem and time couldn’t be more appropriate than August 4th.

It is time for a change.  It is time to break the cycle!!!!

As Einstein said "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results".

Heal your soul, lighten your spiritual load.

Raise your vibration and consciousness.

Live from the heart.

You help the souls who passed on and suffered this massacre and other catastrophic events to cross over and be at peace knowing that karma will be paid. When you forgive you raise your vibration, and you start attracting better things and events. Can you imagine what happens to the country once this is done collectively?

Don’t confuse calling for justice to be against forgiveness. On the contrary, they serve each other quite closely. I look now at the Lebanese dark history and feel the cross generational torment carried lifetime after lifetime through our DNA. Our ancestral history needs to be healed and cleared, that is the only solution for a real change in Lebanon.

These are just a few thoughts I wanted to share on this sad day. I hope this flows smoothly as I am writing it while having a fever and trying to recover from Covid.

I stand for calling for universal justice, for unity, for higher consciousness, for making the change, and healing our souls and country.
